Josephine Frisari<\/strong>, RN, BSN, vice president of quality and performance improvement for our Elderplan\/HomeFirst health plans; Jessica Garcia Robinson<\/strong>, BS, MPA, CTRS, LNHA, assistant administrator of our MJHS Isabella Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care; and Dannick Boutin<\/strong>, MBA, OTR\/L, director of rehabilitation services for our MJHS Centers for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, along with 64 other health care professionals from health care institutions from across the greater New York metropolitan region, were honored for their \u201cextraordinary personal leadership to improve quality of care, patient safety, and patient experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josephine Frisari<\/strong>, RN, BSN, vice president of quality and performance improvement for our Elderplan\/HomeFirst health plans, is a nurse by training and quality management (QM) is her superpower. Her ability to lead, build teams and help us maintain high quality scores are three of the many reasons why she is a quality improvement champion. She\u2019s spent the last 12 years in our QM department\u2014and what an impact she\u2019s made. From helping make Elderplan\/HomeFirst\u2019s Medicare Advantage Plan (MAP) the only 5-Star plan in New York State, to overall improvements in preventative screenings and patient scores, and much more, Josephine\u2019s contributions played a big role!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica Garcia Robinson<\/strong>, BS, MPA, CTRS, LNHA, assistant administrator of MJHS Isabella Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, emerged as a facility-wide leader during the pandemic. When she starts and ends the day, her commitment to infection control protocols, resident quality of life, collaboration, staff education, the community, our mission, therapeutic recreation, as well as DEI programming, is evident. Jessica is also the point person for the reinstated hands-on Certified Nursing Assistant training program for 18-24-year-olds who experience barriers to workforce participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As director of rehabilitation services for our MJHS Centers for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, Dannick Boutin, <\/strong>MBA, OTR\/L, oversees the development and implementation of care plans that help our short-term patients and long-term residents safely journey along the Path to Recovery in order to gain greater independence, strength, stability, confidence, and much more. His work goes beyond our incredible rehab programs, too. During the height of the pandemic, he developed tracking systems for staff and resident Covid vaccinations. He was also named co-chair for the implementation of our electronic medical record system and is part of numerous performance improvement projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The other UHF honorees included: physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and a broad range of other health care workers. They were drawn from hospital systems, long-term care facilities, home care organizations, independent practice associations and federally qualified health centers.
