Menorah Center Updates

May 2024

MJHS Menorah Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care is updating our telephone system. There will be minor service interruptions during the transition and all residents will receive new phone numbers.

  1. Phone upgrade work is expected to begin on May 1, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. During this time:

    • Resident care will continue without interruption
    • Resident safety will remain a priority
    • MJHS Menorah Center’s main number and additional lines will remain operational
    • Resident room phones will not be available
  2. The new phone system will roll out between late May and mid-June. All residents will receive a new phone number as part of this process.

  3. Before resident phone numbers change:

    • Residents will receive advanced notice, in writing, about when their phone number is scheduled to change
    • All upgrade work will happen between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
    • During the upgrade, resident room phones may be down for up to 10 minutes

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this important upgrade process. More details to come.

Per CMS guidance, the daily COVID activity recordings have been discontinued. In addition, per DOH guidelines, visitors and staff are no longer required to test prior to entry. Menorah continues to conduct passive screening and protocols, including signage throughout the facility, infection control precautions, use of face coverings and applicable facility practices and still recommends that visitors test prior to seeing their loved one. We will resume recordings should CMS requirements change.

While the pandemic is not over, effective May 11, 2023, the United States formally declared both the public health emergency and the national state of emergency for COVID-19 over.
