MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care

Patient Lays in Bed and Stares Out of the Window

MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care serves the needs of patients and families across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Nassau County. As one of the largest and most respected not-for-profit programs in the greater New York region, we are committed to offering patients and families with chronic or advanced illness compassionate, expert care, along with peace of mind and comfort.

Both hospice and palliative care services are aimed at providing comfort to patients and support for their families. One of the main differences is that palliative care can begin at the time a diagnosis is made and the patient is still pursuing curative treatment. Hospice care begins only after treatment for the disease has stopped.
