Bereavement Support
Support for you and your family through loss — from the people who have walked alongside many families before yours.
Compassionate Bereavement Support for Healing and Hope
Grief is deeply personal, and there is no right way to move through it. Whatever you are feeling — whenever you are ready — support is here for you and your family as part of our hospice and palliative care services. Bereavement support is available to family and friends for up to 13 months following a loved one’s passing — because grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and neither do we. Our counselors speak a range of languages and dialects and respect the different cultures, customs, and traditions that shape how families grieve.
Support includes:
- Individual counseling sessions by phone, video, or in-person — helping you process feelings, understand how grief changes over time, and develop coping strategies
- Virtual support groups specific to the type of loss experienced
- Virtual memorial services of remembrance
- Referrals to community resources for ongoing grief counseling or other services that may benefit you
We’re Here to Help You Take the Next Step
Grief doesn’t end when hospice care does — and neither does our commitment to your family. If you have questions about bereavement support or want to understand what’s available to you, we’re here to talk.
Call our Access Center at 212-420-3370 whenever you’re ready. There’s no timeline, no pressure — just someone who will listen.
