MJHS Returns as a Supporting Sponsor of Iconic Broadway in Bryant Park
On a quintessentially hot New York City summer day, MJHS returned as a Supporting Sponsor of iHeart Broadway and 106.7 LITE FM’s Broadway in Bryant Park! The beloved series, now celebrating its 25th anniversary, brought together thousands to watch stars from the hottest shows perform during lunchtime, while connecting with MJHS about the link between music and memory, plus all the ways we can help meet evolving health needs!
Radio host Helen Little served as the emcee, introducing songs from fan-favorite shows, including, “Chicago,” “Death Becomes Her,” “Gypsy,” “Just In Time,” “The Book of Mormon,” and “Wicked.” True to our mission, MJHS reserved close-up seats for older adults, and their caregivers, so they could enjoy the performances comfortably.
One of the most viral moments of the event was when a member of MJHS Menorah Center’s therapeutic recreation team joined a Broadway star on stage for a dance break. The crowd went from keeping cool with our custom-made MJHS fans to using them as props as they moved their bodies to the beat – just like our residents do as part of fun programming.
