MJHS Returns as Presenting Sponsor of Brooklyn Walk to End Alzheimer’s for Third Year
MJHS Health System, a premier not-for-profit health care organization founded by the Four Brooklyn Ladies in 1907, returns as the Presenting Sponsor of the Brooklyn Walk to End Alzheimer’s® for the third consecutive year. In a powerful show of unity, staff from across participating agencies will come together on Walk Day, October 26, to champion the many ways MJHS cares for, supports and guides individuals living with Alzheimer’s as well as honor the personal experiences of family and staff caregivers.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, about 427,000 New Yorkers aged 65 and older are currently living with the disease. MJHS is deeply committed to addressing the needs of this growing population through specialized services, including its award-winning memory care program at MJHS Menorah Center. This program helps individuals manage the cognitive, emotional and behavioral challenges often associated with the disease, including through the innovative use of creative arts therapies like music, art and dance.
